So good. Of this batch of music this is easily one of my personal favorites. If someone told me this was released this year I probably would believe them. But anyway, can't recommend this enough. The only other bands I hear (i know there are more, just harder to think of) in this are random whippets of Joy Division, Swans, and a little Bauhaus.

Also a pretty cool band, and it too doesn't reek of makeup, lipstick and poofy hair like some others. Sounds alot like what would be called art-rock nowadays.

This is another gem I stumbled across on the web. Its a weird but very workable menagerie of Punk, New Wave, Prog Rock, and Ska(The Mr.bungle circus-like kind). The Punk Part is the weakest link in my book, but I've never really enjoyed punk too much anyway; plus the other genres fused in there more then make up for it. One second i'll be getting tired of a particular punky part and the next an epic prog-rock guitar solo will be erupting from the speakers or a Camel-ish synth line will pop out of nowhere and strangly enough, not seem out of place. Great stuff.

Utter Synthpop. Not bad, most of the time its the cool synth lines that save songs from mediocracy, And sometimes edges on mainstream pop. Still worth a look, especially if your used to the whole 80's synthpop thing.

Sisters of Mercy - Some Girls Wander By Mistake

This is a collection of early stuff by the sisters. Cool stuff, Kinda sounds like joy division 5 years after unknown pleasures if Ian Curtis was still around and they never made closer.

Talk Talk - Its My Life

Great Synthpop; their last poppy album infact. This album is worth it for a some tracks here and there, at some point i'll upload their later post-rock albums as well...check this out in the meantime
